ABOUT THE WORK
Dazzle Discobolus is a CAD rendered sketch for a 2021 sculpture of the same name, produced for the artist’s 2021 solo exhibition SLIP TANK at the Naughton Gallery, Belfast. The use of Dazzle pattern, a type of ship camouflage, on the torso of the Discobolus sculpture, is in part a reference to the geographic movement of Greco-Roman copies, and the disorientation of their meanings in new contexts. This work is signed and editioned by the artist
